Makin' Headbands

This week I have had TONS of fun hanging out with my good friend Lisa who is here on vacation with her boyfriend. Her boyfriend and my husband are best friends and I have managed to steal her away from him everyday this week. 

Lisa and I have quickly become great friends and she has the GREATEST JOB IN THE WORLD. She is Resident Cinderella for the Cinderella Company. Before meeting her I hadn't heard of this company, but the Cinderella Company  "is devoted exclusively to children's entertainment of the highest quality, created to capture your child's imagination. They offer a variety of professionally trained performers who bring beloved storybook and classic characters to life in the most magical and memorable way". 

Lisa can play any Disney Princess, and actually shows up to children's parties in full costume... Yes, even the voice!! She is, need-less-to-say... AH-mazing!!  Here is a picture of her in costume as Giselle from Enchanted:

Since Lisa is not from San Diego, I had to ensure I took her to my all-time FAVORITE store, Paper Tales!! I already knew she would, but she fell in love with Paper Tales (just like everyone else I've taken there), we bought tulle, ribbon, and flowers while we were there and we decided we were going to make headbands. Today, we got our craft on and made THE most adorable headbands!! Lisa made headbands for herself, her boyfriend's nieces, and her sister. We're also going to Disneyland tomorrow and decided to make headbands to match our outfits - Check it out:

Bliss

Did you all have a good Christmas?! I know I did!! This Christmas was definitely different that those in the past, nevertheless it was so great being surrounded by family and friends. AND Santa brought me some nifty presents... Guess I was good this year after all ;)

In the midst of visiting friends and family, I was able to sneak some card-making into my holiday weekend and I created this vintage inspired card using Papertrey Ink dies. I also made a coordinating tag for a gift. My inspiration for this card and tag can be found here. Alexis and I decided to give this card and the matching tag to his aunt as a belated birthday gift. In addition to all the festivities Christmas brings, Alexis and I decided to host a dinner party for our families the day after Christmas. Merry Christmas!!

I know, it's not Christmas... yet.  But, my family and I celebrate Christmas today as well as tomorrow. So, as I am waiting for Alexis to get home so that we can take off to my grandparents house, I figured I would take advantage of the few minutes I have to blog.

Yesterday and the day before were spent wrapping gifts. This year, I used tulle to decorate our gifts and they all look so pretty. I highly recommend using tulle to decorate your gifts anytime of year. Tulle is cheap and it comes in an assortment of colors!! Also, I thought I didn't have enough time to make tags for our gifts... but I couldn't resist and made time. Here are some pictures I thought I would share. On another note, Lilia and Jake are both doing great and getting along  FABULOUSLY... I'll post pictures of the two soon.

Christmas Came Early!!

Remember yesterday I was doing laundry for what seemed to be - FOREVER... Well, I came home last night to a BEAUTIFUL Poodle-Bichon puppy!! My husband surprised me with her... Isn't he the BEST?! I was so happy, ecstatic, and excited when I saw her that I cried... Truly the BEST Christmas present ever... This is a gift that will keep on giving.

Lila is the newest addition to our family. If you remember, we have a toy poodle named Jake. Jake and Lila seem to be getting along well; although, Jake is a bit jealous. Nevertheless, mommy has enough love and arms for both...  but I just can't wait till Jake and Lila are BFF's. 

I have been annoying Alexis about getting a puppy for at least a year now and seeing her angelic face, was totally worth every minute I waited. Plus, I was beyond impressed at how carefully he looked for and picked her out. He told me that he had been looking for months and that none of the puppies he saw, were the "one".  When Alexis saw Lila, he said he felt the bond... What a sweetheart, right?!

The first night (last night) was not as bad as I thought it would be... Lila cried some, but tired herself out pretty quickly and feel asleep. Then, this morning my husband and I were awoken by her ever-so-cute bark. I raised Jake and let me tell you, it was not like this the first night... Jake barked and cried ALL night long. Now, Jake sleeps with us and Lila will too... soon as she's fully potty trained. Although, Lila is only 8 weeks and is already paper trained!! We really lucked out and I couldn't be happier with my little Princess <3

Sparkle and Shine

I was out last week working/finishing up card/gift tag orders and I am happy to report I am DONE and all items went out this morning. So, to those of you that won tags and hadn't received them yet, you should get them within the next 1-3 days... just in time for Christmas. On another note, I will not be taking any new orders until January 1st 2011. 

Over the weekend my Grandma and I went to the gem fair and it was awesome... I picked up tons of swarovski crystals which will be used in cards and tags in the new year. Speaking of new year I am so excited Christmas is only 5 days away... My family will start trickling in over the next few days and that means lots of Scrabble, hopefully a game or two of Monopoly [my personal favorite] and lots of lounging around and movie watching... Sounds perfect, right?!

Unfortuantly, I have nothing glamorous going on today... just laundry. I have to say, I have a love-hate relationship with laundry. I like doing laundry because it give me a chance to catch up with emails, questions, etc. BUT, I hate doing laundry because its boring.

Christmas Sprinkles

Today I was hoping to reveal the grand prize which will be up for grabs on Sunday. However, my plan didn't really work out... I ran out of glue late last night. So, today I will be making a pit-stop to pick up some glue. I may even go to the Michael's in Point Loma... That way I can visit the wonderful ladies at Paper Tales. Yes, that sounds like a plan!!

Stars and Houndstooth

Hi there!!

I am so excited... My schedule is going to be clearing up in about a week and I have a list of things I plan to do around the city. As most of you may know, I reside in San Diego but as beautiful of a place San Diego is... I am ashamed to say I don't accept the beauties of this city enough. Therefore I plan on visiting the following places:

Balboa Park

Nature Center

Sea World

Children's Museum

Zoo

Disney (yes, I know it's not in SD... but still sounds like fun!!)

Ice Skating at Hotel Del (where else can one ice skate on the beach?! Lol)

In addition to the aforementioned, I plan on creating new cards, giveaways, and spending time with my amazing friends and family. As I complete my list I will be sure to take plenty of pictures to share with you all.... Eek, I can hardly wait :D

Catching up, Tags, and Giveaways

It's been about a week since my last post. However, I seriously have been away due to the fact that I have been INSANELY busy. No, seriously... insanely busy. Just in the past week, alone, I have painted and glittered 72 snowflakes and made 60 cards... All the while continuing my "regular" life. Nope, I am not some super hero, just the Paper Princess (<- hahaha, I cracked up when I wrote this. It's pretty cheesy, I know!!).

Nevertheless, I am happy to report pending orders have been filled and are ready to go out... woo-hoo!! Which means I will go back to blogging and speaking of blogging. The Christmas gift tag giveaway I had on the FB fan page over the weekend was such a hit, I decided to make this week; Gift Tag Giveaway Week. That's right, everyday this week (up until Sunday) I am going to help you guys get your gifts ready by giving away gift tag sets. Everyday, on the FB fan page, 1 lucky person will win a gift tag set. All you have to do are these 3 simple things:
